I’m not exactly in the Christmas spirit. After one too many holiday disasters, I’d rather skip the carols, cookies, and cheer altogether. But fate has other plans.

When I meet Trent Wagner, the quiet, rugged guy selling Christmas trees in our little Florida town, I figure he’s just passing through. He’s the last thing I need… and the only thing I can’t seem to resist.

He makes me laugh. He makes me melt. And for the first time in a long time, I start to wonder if maybe Christmas can still mean something magical.

This season, love might be the best surprise waiting under the tree.
